Each May, the world famous and richly storied Mille Miglia car race is staged in Brescia, providing a wonderful opportunity to visit the city and watch the competing cars start and finish the race. Situated on the ground floor of the thirteenth-century town hall, the Lucignano Museum collects a collection of sacred art works (13th - 18th century) from Tuscany, including a painting by the Sienese painter Bartolo di Fredi and one by the Renaissance painter Luca Signorelli.
