Bialetti became very famous in the 50s when Paul Campani’s pencil first traced the company logo, that little man with the big moustache who made the brand so well-known throughout Italy and the whole world. At the beginning there was just a workshop run by Alfonso Bialetti and dedicated to the production of semi-finished aluminium components. Then Italian industrial history was marked by the passage of the Bialetti business from workshop to atelier for the design and production of finished articles for sale. This insistence on design laid the path to the creation, a few years later, of the famous Moka Express. That was 1933. Art Decò design that radically changed the way of making coffee at home and at work. Much more than a coffee pot.
